On December 13th, 2014, Hume (t/as Australia Building Centre) opened its new flagship branch at South Granville. The branch became the largest in Hume's existing network of 7 branches in New South Wales and Victoria. Strategically located in Western Sydney’s South Granville Industrial precinct, the warehouse is central to Woodville Road, the Hume Highway and the Great Western Highway.
The grand opening of Hume South Granville was a day of great celebration, with prizes and product exhibitions for our customers, along with food and a traditional Chinese lion dance in keeping with our store's location in the heart of multicultural Sydney. Special thanks to our sponsoship partners of the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs Cheerleaders, for providing some extra glamour to the event.
At just over twenty thousand square metres, the site offers an advanced layout design, including an enhanced paint section, and new showrooms and displays to showcase numerous products offered by the business. With an undercover loading area of over two thousand square metres, it has the capacity to service customers large and small, come rain, hail or shine.
“This is a milestone event in the company’s growth", said Hume's General Manager, Mr Stavros Perrotis. "Our continued focus is on our customers, people and our culture, and I believe this new branch will enable us to continue to give our customers the best customer service and experience possible.”
The new Hume branch at South Granville offers over two thousand products from numerous suppliers, including plasterboard, fibre cement, steel wall and ceiling components, compounds, tools, ceramic tiles, and accessories. Hume prides itself on having one of the largest branch networks in New South Wales, with professional and knowledgeable staff ready to service their customers’ needs.
